I've always been a fan of Von Wong's work and how he can previsualize a complex postprocessed image and takes a properly lit photo to get it to fit, so this was my attempt at it. It was also a way to find out how far my post work can go (and sadly how far it needs to go)-:

I'm also trying to get more of an emotional response from viewers so hopefully that worked with this shot.

model PP: skin cleanup, move right wrist, tweak eyes, remove shadow under right eye, remove wig hair from face, add fake dirt to jacket and goggles and boots, darken right knee, darken hands, fix skin pinch on left leg, clean hair off jacket, clean real dirt off jacket, dewrinkle pantyhose, sharpening/color tweaks

 

background PP: remove background and furniture from original model photo, composite rocks from a few photos, add spaceship (and remove parts that looked odd), draw planet, add galaxies, add moon, add stars, add shadows, darken model to fit mood
