Same yet Different
CN L517 pulls into Markham Yard located in Homewood, Illinois. While all three of these locomotives are SD40-2's, each one is different. 5386 has a "standard" cab while the two trailing units have Canadian wide cabs. And while the 5281 and 5328 are technically classified as SD40-2W's, the 5281 still wears CN's Zebra scheme while 5328 was recently (when this photo was taken) repainted into the CN.ca scheme. In addition, 5281 does not have dynamic breaks while 5328 does. This goes to show just how much variety there is in CN's vast fleet of older 40 series locomotives.
