Toothpaste Painting

Ideas and Concepts Unit. Brief - Generate and Communicate

 

This is a work in progress, almost finished. I need to put more work into the eyes and mouth.

 

I worked from a photograph of Rihanna to create this painting in the style of Glenn Brown. To be experimental with capturing his painting style I used toothpaste mixed with acrylic paint to create a gloopy and thick texture.
