Erm Bathroom
The proprietor of a lovely circa 1800’s Bed and Breakfast wanted to transform an under utilized second floor kitchenette into a bathroom/spa oasis. Navigating the challenges of an involved second floor renovation, we began deconstruction of the kitchenette. In the process of adding and updating the bathroom with modern amenities like a steam shower, pedestal sink and toilet, we were able to maintain the continuity of the existing architecture by mimicking the trim on all of the custom built-ins and accenting with wainscoting. To efficiently maximize space we added a well-designed custom storage area. We also incorporated the proprietor’s idea of closing off a doorway and turned it into an esthetically pleasing and functional bookcase. The finished result yielded an inviting place for the guests to hideaway, relax and thoroughly pamper themselves.
