Oxford - Martyrs' Memorial

Commemorates the martyrdom of Protestant clergy - including Archbishop of Canterbury Thomas Cranmer - during the reign of Queen (Bloody) Mary in the 1550's. They were burned alive in nearby Broad St where another memorial marks the actual location of the stake and pyre.
