Predator and Prey

Great Blue Heron attacking a Muscovy duck and her babies. The mother is aggressively resisting the attack to protect the ducklings. When I first photographed the ducklings two weeks ago there were 12, yesterday there were only 8 left. Pompano Beach, Florida.
