Organic cotton farmers

Heritage varieties of cotton can thrive without chemical inputs. The cotton is planted on the banks of the Mekong after the highest flow recedes and is harvested before the next season's rains. While it is women who traditionally spin and weave, both men and women grow and dye the cotton.
