Software Activation Codes

(Chunking)

 

Software licenses and product activation codes are often split up into smaller groups of 5 characters. These chunks are small enough to memorize when looking back and forth between the (often) printed code and the digital entry screen. It also helps users keep track of where they are, and quickly find typos.
