Land of the Ryzen Sun
Just finished my first computer build which I have named "Land of the Ryzen Sun" the inspired by my favorite travel destination Kyoto where traditional and modern Japan collide.
The computer will mostly be used for video and photo editing. Everything worked well from beginning to end of the build process. The BeQuiet! 500dx computer case had plenty of space to work in and has a very clean minimalist look to it.
List of Parts:
AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 3.8 GHz 12-Core Processor
Noctua NH-U12S chromax.black 55 CFM CPU Cooler
MSI MAG X570 TOMAHAWK WIFI ATX AM4 Motherboard
Team T-FORCE DARK Z 32 GB (2 x 32 GB) DDR4-3600 CL18 Memory
Samsung 860 Evo 500 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
Samsung 860 Evo 250 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
Seagate FireCuda 520 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive
Zotac GeForce GTX 1660 6 GB GAMING Video Card
be quiet! Pure Base 500DX ATX Mid Tower Case
EVGA 550 W ATX Power Supply
Noctua NF-F12 PWM chromax.black.swap 54.97 CFM 120 mm Fan
Future plans:
I would like to upgrade to one of the newer graphics cards that just came out. I ended up reusing a Zotac 1660 from my previous computer to test and see if it would run better with a better processor since Adobe Premiere tends to be CPU hungry (my previous processor was an I7-7700 with 32gb of ram). Even though it does run noticeable smoother with the Ryzen 9 3900x, it's still not where I want it to be once I start color grading 4K footage. Lastly I would like to add another nvme drive and a modular power supply to clean up the wires on the backside.
