Perspective
In out society today there are many stereotypes. One big one when it comes to Hispanics is that they all jumped the border/fence to come to America. In the picture above, Julian Moreno is part German, which still counts him as being white. If you take a walk in a white person's shoe, you will see how hard it is when society judges. Instead of seeing the "rich white people" in charge, you see them going through what people believe Hispanics do. Things are provoked when the story is flipped.
Scout & Jem realize Mrs. Dubose wasn't a bad person. Once they got to know her more, they soon understood what she had been through. They started to understand she acts the way she does because of the medication she takes that lead her into being like that.
