King Zenda is getting ready to welcome the 500+ docents from across the USA to the Brookfield Zoo for the 2010 AZAD Conference.........
Zenda is 4 yrs old now. He came to Brookfield in 2008 from San Diego Wild Animal Park.
The docents at Brookfield Zoo are hosting the 2010 AZAD (Association of Zoo & Aquarium Docents) Conference from Sept 7-12, welcoming 500 zoo & aquarium docents and volunteers from all corners of the USA. Besides the 500 registrants , there will be more than 200 Brookfield zoo docents and volunteers helping out on Zoo Day. Plus zoo keepers and office staff... Zoo Day is the day we get to show off our zoo.
Brookfield Zoo has approx 600 volunteers total.
(Planning for an AZAD conference is a minimum of 3 yrs - our committee is doing a wonderful job and I am sure it will be an excellent time)
