Funny story actually. I had just bought a new 2m softlighter (silver umbrella with diffusion panel on the front) but when I attached it to my Alien Bee 800 the light sat too close to the inside of the umbrella so it gave a tiny light source which gave a harsh light. To make a plan I pulled the diffusion panel off the front and hung it between two trees and pulled the strobe back a couple of meters and shot through the flat diffusion material. I didn't get the light shape I wanted, but it was better than nothing. Hair light is obviously the setting sun.
