RCW 123 - with NGC 6337 the Cheerio Nebula
This is a very rarely imaged object. Google finds no images on the internet neither does ChatGPT, (with the exception of a couple of images of NGC 6337 with a smallish portion of RCW 123 in the background found in Astrobin).
Nevertheless it presents very interesting structure even in RGB; a narrow band version may also be a worthwhile exercise.
Delighted to resolve the Cheerio Nebula- NGC 6337 which would a great target for anyone with a long focal length imaging system
7 hours and 10 minutes of integration, spread over two session. Used an Optolong UV/IR filter for session one and an Optolong L Extreme filter for the second session
RedCat51/ZWO 533MC/Optolong UV/IR and L Extreme filters /HEQ 5 Pro mount/ASIAIR
Bortle 7.6
stacked in SIRIL and processed in Pixinsight and Photoshop CS 6
