Mom, I don't know if we should go this way...
Well, we took the dogs on a walk they've never done before near my parents - down the lane, along the tree line, across the fields, to a lovely pond.
When it started to rain, we decided to take a shortcut to the house. We could see it - across a creek, thru a forest of jagger bushes, and a field of scrubby trees. We actually attempted it - but were stopped by the many sharp thorns.
So we turned around and followed an old light line which ended up being a marshy mess! We would have been better off if we had just went back the way we came!
I wish I had a shot of what Marcy & Sunny looked like by the time we reached the house. They both got baths and we were all checked for ticks.
