I thought it was strange that the seven butterfly like shapes are not figurals/whimsies. The puzzle description on the website mentions there is only one figural, the cat.
In this photo the laser scorching looks darker in the top half of the puzzle than the bottom but this is probably just from the positioning of the lamp.
