Neoclassic Matoran
This project is an attempt to make a modernized Matoran frame.
I wanted to keep many of the design elements of the earlier sets - particularly the two-toed feet and long arms,
while substantially improving articulation - at least in comparison to the 2003 rebuilt matoran - viable color palettes.
I also wanted something smaller than many of the later matoran releases, which were starting to get close to the Toa Mata in size.
The result has 11 points of articulation, is slightly taller than the 2003 Matoran, and shorter than every subsequent Matoran design (except perhaps a couple of the Voya Nui designs)
The body is based on the Gen 2 protector frame, but with much shorter legs, and slightly shorter arms.
The use of the Throwbots foot piece matches the early matoran foot shape and comes in quite a few colors.
A variety of parts can be used for torso armor, giving a degree of customizability.
