leucistic Canada Goose

I've been watching this guy all summer (I call him ''blondie"), and finally spent some time today figuring out what his colouring was all about. He seems healthy, so didn't think it was a disease. Turns out it is leucism, a condition caused by a genetic mutation that prevents melanin from developing in the bird's feathers. Unusual, but not rare.
