Panic at the sunrise
And so a return to seascapes..
Actually hadn't planned to do this today, but as I left the house I could tell from the dark clouds it was going to be a good sunrise, and so I headed to Newbiggin.
I've missed being out for sunrise at the coast. As much as i'm enjoying my mono/architectural phase I always still want to be near the coast taking these sort of shots.
The tide was fairly far out but I noticed it seemed to be coming in. As i hopped over as little gully i thought I had best be careful I didn't get cut off. Ten minutes shooting later I looked behind me and the gully had filled with water and was now a lot wider and deeper than it was earlier. The only way to get back was to walk across which was up to my knees. A warning for the future I guess that tides come in a lot faster than you realise.
