Another storm (Barra) hit day in the north. As I travelled down to Langley Mill the motorway was like a river, but thankfully the rain abated in time for the "Mickey" to pass. Newly outshopped Stanier designed ex LMS '5MT' 4-6-0 no.45231 'The Sherwood Forester' heads towards Langley Mill with the 'Saphos Trains' Carnforth-Chesterfield "Chatsworth Christmas Sparkle Express". The train terminated at Chesterfield with the passengers bused to Chatsworth House for the Christmas display.
