Silvretta reservoir

The Silvretta reservoir, 2,032m (6,667ft) above sea level, lies at Bielerhöhe, the watershed between the Rhine and the Danube and the highest point on the Silvretta-Hochalpenstrasse, an Alpine road completed in 1953, built to allow access to a hydroelectric scheme fed by this reservoir. The mountains behind the reservoir are the Silvretta group, at the Austrian / Swiss frontier.
