August 30, 2013 -- Syria’s neighbours have moved their forces to full alert in anticipation of possible retaliatory attacks if U.S. airstrikes are launched against Syria. Turkey’s Cehhan oil terminal is vulnerable, Israel, Jordan and Cyprus are preparing for missile attacks, while Iraq fears a surge in sectarian violence. More than 6,000 refugees have crossed into Lebanon in the past 24 hours. Graphic shows Syria’s neighbours and Scud D and M-600Tashreen missiles.
