DENVER & RIO GRANDE WESTERN TUNNEL MOTORS MOVE NORTBOUND TONNAGE TOWARD DENVER - SEDALIA, COLORADO - JULY 4, 1982
Not sure how many tunnel motors one needs for "Tunnel Motor Tuesday", but the power desk apparently says we will take six! And as such, six of the T-motors have a northbound freight well in hand and rolling toward their destination without any apparent trouble. If I recall correctly, I think we only got two shots chasing this guy.
That's how it went on the D&RGW back in those days, fast and efficient freight service kept the money rolling in. One can read about how the prior older school era of a few drag freights put the Grande into bankruptcy, and then the switch to fast, short, and frequent put them back into the money. Of course we all know what era things have gone back to, as history repeats itself.
