DEUTSCHE BUNDESBAHN 218 CLASS DIESELS LAUNCH AN EB MAIL TRAIN OUT OF THE STATION ROLLING OVER THE JAGST RIVER BRIDGE - CRAILSHEIM, GERMANY - JULY 1978
Wish I had kept better notes. This train had a lot of mail on it but I don't know anymore if it was a solid train of mail cars or had passenger cars in it. What I do know is the front has RPO's on it, and I shot the rear on the bridge also, and that was more RPO cars. These days, of course, all the RPO business is gone but solid mail trains do still run in a few places - I know the Swiss run containerized mail trains using special side door containers and the French actually have some TGV high speed trains painted all yellow assigned to handling only mail.
