Merry Christmas

A bit of fun executing an idea I had for an image with a Christmas feel at the old doocot(dovecot) on the Gartshore Estate near Kirkintilloch. I was on my own so this image was produced by using my fisheye lens & stacking seven separate 30sec exposures - one for each different element (the santa, the green lighting, the blue lights, the yellow star effect at the top and then 3 for the red torch lighting up pigeonholes).

When I envisaged this image the green circles represented a Xmas tree and the red & blue were fairy lights with a yellow star atop it all... (Maybe it's time to go easy on the decongestant meds!!)

I had to park up on a quiet country road away from some isolated houses and cross a field before entering the forest where this abandoned doocot sits in a dense clump of rhododendrons. On my return I think I frightened the beejezus out of one of the residents of one of the houses who'd opened their front door to let their dog out. I'm sure they saw me striding across the middle of the adjacent field in the darkness. I wondered what they thought because I was in full Santa costume at the time with a pack on my back! Ho! Ho! Ho!

A very Merry Christmas to everyone here on Flickr and especially all my contacts . Have a great 2018.
