A southbound CSX unit coal train rolls out of Sykes Mill Tunnel (No. 12) at milepost 17 on the former Clinchfield Railroad. This location is known as "Rush," but for all intents and purposes, it's Clinchco. "Rush" was the name of a 1628-foot storage track on the right, long since removed. This is a favorite photo spot primarily because of easy access. The Rt. 63 grade crossing was right behind me. The date was May 16, 2003.
