The Adant House (1883)

This striking space is not landmarked and will very likely be demolished for a building not much taller. Clearly Williamsburg is not going the route of SoHo in preserving its history. This building, finished the same year as the Brooklyn Bridge was where the sugar would be pressed into cubes. It's by far the cleanest and most intact of all the buildings making up the Domino Sugar Refinery.
