US Homicide Rate - Firearm vs. Non-Firearm

A comparison of homicides per 100,000 population, firearm vs. non-firearm, according to three separate sources: the FBI's Uniform Crime Report statistics on "Murder and nonnegligent homicide" in blue, The FBI's homicide rates from their Expanded Homicide Reports in red, and the CDC's statistics in deaths by firearm assault in yellow. The deeper lines are firearm homicides, and the paler lines are non-firearm homicides.

When the source provided a rate, that rate is accepted. Where not, the total count is divided by the US Census Bureau's intercensal estimate for total population in July 1st of that year.
