New Glarus Hearty Hop IPA

Hell yeah. Back in the lovely state of Wisconsin and I find at the local grocery a nice selection of the rare New Glarus brews.

First up for enjoyment is the Hearty Hop IPA. Sorry for the Holiday Inn plastic glass. All I had...

Appearance: Rich medium to dark amber color. Incredible thick light brown creamy head that stays for the entire glass. Nice flow of bubbles. Lovely Brussels lace. inviting look to say the least. The bottle and 6 pack are a testament to low-key economical design... just screaming small indie brew crafted with care and love.

Smell: Oh wow. OH WOW. Hops. Caramel. Fruity aromas. So complex. So yummy.... must drink soon... drooling.

Taste: Shazaam! My god this is a wonderful brew. One of the greatest IPAs I have ever had. massive hop bitterness assaults your tastesbuds like the D-Day landing. Then you get a sweet caramel rush, followed by some fruity reserves that will leave your mouth stunned and bewildered at the awesome-ness it beheld. you are left with a glowing incredible bitter hop aftertaste that is so good.

Mouthfeel: Very good. Nice carbonation, more than i was expecting from an IPA. This just sits in the mouth and begs for enjoyment.

Drinkablilty. You kidding me? I'm moving to Wisconsin so I can drink this regulary. It ain't fair that it is only available in this state. I had three and was buzzing hard. Amazing beer. So highly recommended, I'd say take a road trip to WI so you can try it for yourself.
