Final Sustained piece- A2 Adornment project
30 cm diameter plates
These plates were found at the back of a charity shop, I was attracted to their cleanliness and their creative possibilities. Perfect for my project on adornment, in the same shop I also sourced some paper doilies which had such a beautiful and interesting detailed pattern. Looking to use them together, I came up with the idea for stencilling the pattern using spray paint. The effect was perfect and I looked to further adorn them with Titian cherubs and gold leaf, to add a sense of classical decoration.
