Rothko-esque

This photo was created from some horizontal colour bars on a wall. By making numerous, carefully controlled, time-plus-motion (vertical 'swiping') exposures, I honed the composition and colours to what I wanted. (This is typical of my method for ICM -- intentional camera movement -- photos.)

 

I had no intention of imitating a Rothko-style abstract painting, but my result is vaguely similar to some of the works by him.
