45699 - Dalesman - Dent 26-5-15

The foot crossing at Dent station is clear and the driver of 45699 opens up again to negotiate the gentle switchback gradients along the edge of Dentdale, before plunging into the stygian depths of Blea Moor tunel which will take the train below the huge mass of Whernside, before emerging into Ribblesdale at Ribblehead. In the far distance, just to the left of the cottages, you can just make out some of the arches of Dent Head viaduct.
