This is a repost of a photograph from my photostream taken about a year ago. I was excited to see this flickr message from a Nova producer with PBS...they were asking for my permission to use this photograph in an up coming piece on the Brown-Headed Cowbirds.
I have a guest bedroom, I have declared my birdroom. Just outside the window in that room, I have made a little bird sanctuary. I can sit on a little stool in that room and take pictures of the all the birds that visit. And in the late afternoon, I am blessed with perfect lighting, which allows me to get shots like these with a black background.
