So awhile ago, I picked up another Shoushou Doll GouDan head from Licht (when Licht was still selling them which it appears they no longer are). The head was picked up for two reasons. One, we were going to try modding the mouth to be a little more accurate. Wataru is meant to have a lip cleft and while Amet was able to paint it on the original head, we thought it might be fun to actually carve it into the resin.

 

The second reason was because we were thinking of doing a more fantasy type face up since Wataru is meant to be half-human, half-supernatural creature.

 

We got the mod on the lip done and even shaved down the nose a little. Then -- we kind of just fell off on doing anything about it due to the school year picking up.

 

A couple of weeks ago, Amet picked up the head again and I suggested instead of some crazy face up, why not try to make this head look a little more pouty. And so she did.

 

GUYS, guys! It's ridiculous but this head is even freaking cuter looking worried/pouty. Don't get me wrong. I love the original head. I love his little kitty smile but it's nice to see a different expression.

 

My girl is a wizard. She really is. It's going to be a lot of fun to actually swap back and forth, I think.
