Tombstone Mystery.

During my visit to the Rookwood Necropolis I noticed that this tombstone is for a man who died in 1878. It bears no resemblance to others of that era and to me looks as though it's been created recently out of bathroom tiles! Given that most graves fall into neglect after a couple of generations of relatives have passed on too, this one's a puzzler.
