At Clonmacnoise
Clonmacnoise is a the site of an ancient monastic village near Athlone, Ireland. It was begun in the 6th Century by St Ciaran. Today, visitors can see the remains of the many churches, graves and two round towers. We visited yesterday and enjoyed the informative guided tour.
