Edwardian elegance

Hever Castle was the childhood home of Anne Boleyn, the second wife of Henry VIII. In Tudor times this room was used as the domestic offices, very different from today.

In 1903 the castle was purchased by William Waldorf Astor, the richest man in America, so it was he who converted this room to be a beautiful drawing room. Notice the wood panelling which has different designs on each section.
