An oakling growing on the kitchen windowsill. We collected several acorns last autumn and were successful in germinating quite a few of them by keeping them in the fridge for several weeks. This one is still growing in water and will be ready to be planted into soil soon. One day it will have a permanent home.
The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago, the second best time is now.
