231 CX-08 BOARD SKETCH STOCK
This is a good sketch of the circuit board in the trunk mount nose peice.
The idea is to minimize changes in the radio it's self, and make all the other changes in the nose peice.
What we are going to do is strip this board and the PL board out of the radio.
Remove wires we are not going to use, and by pass the remote control system.
So when all is said and done.
The radio will be able to turn on.
Since it will be programed for only one channel, it will come up on that one.
The Volume and Squelch will be 'pre programed' for a pre set level.
We will make use of the LED features.
Power (yellow LED)
PTT (red LED)
RX (green LED)
Plus various other inputs and outputs.
Couple of 'gotchas'.
The Plug P361 is very similar to the P1.
As you can see they share a bunch of connections and have very similar hook ups.
We will not be using P1 for much execpt as a wire source.
The best way to tell is this. P 361 has a gap between the green and yellow wire.
All the spots are filled in P1.
