Smile Please...Free Toothbrushes!
I took 100 toothbrushes with me on a trek to the Everest region of the Himalayas. I gave these away to the Mothers of small children as I found them in remote and isolated villages.
These two little Nepalese boys had just got theirs!!
Medical and dental care can be several days walk away and places selling toothbrushes even further away and probably expensive. The Nepalese diet is generally very good, but the availability of oral hygiene information away from larger settlements less so.
I wonder if they ever used them to clean their teeth..?
