Fields of frost

A shot from last year´s winter. As there was snow on the ground the white colour on the trees came from freezing moisture, building up in strangest shapes.

 

I pulled this one out of the vault as a training subject for the repair functions of Lightroom, because there was a high-tension line from one side to the other disturbing the impression a bit (if you look carefully you may find some relicts of it in the trees :) ) Further processing with Color Efex Pro (this is not a black&white conversion ;) ) and Gimp.
