Sanderstead

Some pictures taken by the late Michael Cleary. Spring 1983 I believe. At this time the main service to this station was diesel, the trains originating at East Grinstead or Uckfield. However until May 1983, at peak hours Mon-Fri, there was a rather indirect electric service to Charing Cross/Cannon St via Woodside.

There may be something odd going on here - possibly the last train, or at least the last evening. See comments below.
