Gone (But Not Forgotten)

The inevitable happened the other day. My favorite barn was torn down for a new subdivision. The land was sold to developers this year and for the first time access was granted to this area for people to take photographs and the like. I went on several occasions knowing that sometime in December that the fateful day would come. As I approached the exit to my home, I took my normal quick glance to the field to see if it was still standing. It wasn't. This is the same single frame image that I posted from before but this time I included more foreground and cropped the top down. I lightened up the foreground once again but this time to expose some forgotten pieces of metal and wood.

I haven't been out shooting much lately. I've been so very tired. I guess the cold weather and the being busy at work haven't given me to much emotion to get out and shoot.

I have been planning out some places I want to shoot though. I'm hoping for another National Parks pass for my birthday in January. I've been studying the North Cascades NP lately. With the threat of not being able to venture to Canada, this place looks like the next best thing among a few others. Still in the dreaming phase currently but that's ok with me.
