1950 Frazer Nash 'Foursome' Cabriolet: The Frazer Nash "Chain Gang" gather at Silverstone for the start of their "1999 Raid to the South Tyrol"
VSCC Hawthorne Trophy Meeting at Silverstone - 12th June 1999
The unique 1950 Frazer Nash 'Foursome' Cabriolet ("Fritz Fiedler's Dream Car") was built on a lengthened and widened Mille Miglia/Le Mans Replica/Targa Florio chassis. The styling is by Fritz Fiedler, chief engineer at BMW in the 1930s. After the war he was employed by Frazer Nash and Bristol to help with production of BMW-based engines (the designs were taken as war reparations). Later he returned to Germany and became chairman of BMW AG.
