Figured it would be best to start the New Year by focusing my wildlife photography on different perspectives. As a symbol of this, I offer the Turkey Vulture. They look at life differently than most. When the lives of others end, theirs begins.

Took a chance yesterday in the bitter cold to shoot some Harriers. Not much was happening, but as luck would have it as we were getting ready to pack up and the light was fleeting one female flew ahead of us into the brush to pounce on some prey.
After 14 days below freezing, its hard not to think of summer. This Green Heron was captured on Higbee Beach in Cape May County, NJ this past August. Enjoying the raptors this winter, but equally look forward to the "birds of summer", or at least the ones
Snowy Owl and snowflakes...
The Great Horned Owl is considered a deadly predator that can kill prey up to three times its own size. It nickname is Tiger of the Woods." It is hard not to shudder when this raptor stares at you.
Is that a snowman or a Snowy Owl?

I took this photo about a year ago. At the time I was excited by the action and the behavior of the Great Blue. Unfortunately, about 6 months later a Great Blue got to my koi pond and feasted on half of my twenty fish. Interestingly enough the same action
