Red-tailed Hawk on Cloud 9
Capturing a raptor who is unaware of your presence certainly places you on Cloud 9. Walking over a ridge, I came across this beautiful Red Tailed Hawk that seemed to be fixated on prey below him. When he looked up to check his surroundings I was able to capture his profile. What I like about this shot is the white cotton clouds on the blue sky. They make for a great background for this raptor.
