GHO in flight

It wasn't the Bluejays that gave this Great Horned Owl up, it was a hawk. I noticed the hawk perched high in a tree. When he took flight, I thought I was going to witness a kill. Instead he gave away a nearby Great Horned Owl I had not seen. After the striking the owl, the owl flushed and flew in my direction. I was excited to not only get the head on flight shot, but having it backlit by the setting sun was extra special.
