A bit of context - this was taken during the annual festa celebrations in honour of the patron saint (San Gejtanu) at Hamrun, Malta. On Sunday morning (until mid-afternoon), the town's two rival bands march through the locality in the hot August sun - it's one big, and mobile, street party. Depending on which band they follow, many wear red or blue - usually clothes, but not exclusively.
