Ħobż biż-żejt

Ħobż biż-żejt (literally, bread with oil) is a slice of Maltese bread (the best there is) with one surface lightly dipped in olive oil and spread with either tomato or tomato paste, with other delicious ingredients added to taste. For this picture, I used fresh bread bought from our grocer this morning, Italian olive oil, local tomato paste, Greek olives filled with garlic cloves and capers locally picked and pickled by my wife. I took just this one photo, and ate the contents :)
