Buildings at Reids gears, Linwood

This factory, in business for 4 generations is closing in Nov08. The Clyde Heritage Trust wants to see it become a listed building. Fewer than 30 factories in Scotland are listed buildings and only one of those was related to metalworking (an aluminium factory). This would be the first, and if not listed now, the last, opportunity to preserve the evidence of what made the west of Scotland the manufacturer of machinery to the world.
