The boys and I had a quiet morning while Neil was out buying new washers for the shower hose, new loo seat, Tesco shop etc. they had the iPhone and iPad and were doing phonics on them. Joe loves doing phonics. David's more into numbers, he particularly likes 23 at the moment for some reason!
After lunch I had an hour reading in the bath and then played busy bees, pop up pirate and Mr Funny Face with the boys. We then went out to buy the boys new summer shoes. 2 pairs of canvas shoes and two pairs of leather sandals each from Clarks for £80... Could have been worse!
On the way home we popped into the village shop to buy ice creams which we took to the playground to eat. Here we have David at the top of the big slide.
There were people playing cricket, basketball and football in the park, so it was certainly being well used! It may be at the end of the Heathrow runway and therefore very noisy at times, but I do like living in our village.
